XL
Ford’s base trim levels for their trucks and SUVs is almost always the XL. XLT
Building off the XL trim level is the 2019 Ford Explorer XLT. The XLT trim level is going to feature all of the great features found on the XL model, but with a few upgrades and additions. On the XLT, you will notice premium cloth seating, built in navigation, blind spot detection, dual-panel moon-roof, parking assist and a dual-zone automatic climate control.
Limited
The 2019 Ford Explorer in Limited trim is going to be the trim level that is right in the middle of base and the most fully loaded Explorer that money can buy. This is where you are going to get great bang for your buck with features. The Limited includes a 2.3L engine, 20″ silver aluminum wheels, dual zone automatic climate control, front heated seats, Sirius capable radio, fog lights, leather seat trim, and a built in navigation system.
Sport
The Sport trim on the 2019 Ford Explorer is going to give you a much more sportier look with color matched emblems and 20″ machined aluminum wheels. You will get the same great features as the limited but with an upgraded 3.5L V6 engine and four-wheel drive built in as well. This is going to be the SUV for those wanting to use their SUV for light off-roading or better performance on the street.
Platinum
For those wanting the most fully loaded 2019 Ford Explorer available, the Platinum edition is going to be what you want. This trim level is going to feature all of the great features of the Sport, with more stand out upgrades. A few of those upgrades include a 1st row regular express open/close sliding and titled glass sunroof, rain sensing windshield wipers, and active park assist.
