With a frame made of high strength steel and a body made of a military grade aluminum alloy, the Super Duty is made to last. For bigger loads there is a 5th-Wheel /Gooseneck Hitch Prep Package available. One of the features of the Hitch Prep package is a 5th-wheel and gooseneck substructure that is attached to the frame. This substructure is factory-installed on 4 x 4 models of the Super Duty. The Hitch Prep package is compatible with 5th wheel hitch kits or gooseneck hitch kits that can be ordered through the factory or through Ford Custom Accessories. Super Duty offers the best-in-class Gross Combination Weight Rating for those times when a large trailer is in use and the truck bed is full. Features like a center high-mount stop lamp camera, LED box lights, BoxLink to secure items, remote tailgate release, a power-locking tailgate and a tailgate step are designed to help drivers with loading or hitching the truck. An available Trailer Reverse Guidance system allows for easier backing of a trailer by utilizing cameras in the sideview mirrors along with visual guides in the center dash screen to provide a clear picture of the path the trailer is taking. Available Adaptive Steering automatically adapts to the speed of travel to provide appropriate steering response for a variety of situations.
