In 1997 Ford introduced its first full-sized four door SUV known as the Expedition. The Expedition replaced the Bronco in Ford’s lineup. In 2019 the Expedition is still the largest SUV in the Ford family of cars. With seating for up to eight people, a powerful V6 engine and ample cargo space, the Expedition is an appealing choice for a broad range of consumers. The Expedition is offered in three main trim levels: the XLT, the Limited and the Platinum.

2019 Ford Expedition The XLT
The 2019 Ford Expedition XLT is equipped with a 3.5 liter EcoBoost engine and a ten-speed SelectShift automatic transmission. For stopping, the XLT is equipped with ABS with Brake Assist and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution along with Auto Stop Start Technology. The rear-wheel drive Expedition has Electronic Power-Assist rack-and-pinion steering with Electronic Stability Control to help maintain smooth handling. Other handling features that are standard on the 2019 Expedition include AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control, Trailer Sway Control and Traction Control.

2019 Ford Expedition The Limited
The 2019 Ford Expedition Limited is also equipped with a 3.5 liter EcoBoost V6 engine and ten-speed SelectShift automatic transmission. The Limited and the XLT handle similarly as well. For entertainment, the Expedition Limited has a 12-speaker B&O Sound System with a SYNC 3-enhanced Voice Recognition Communications and Entertainment System and access to Sirius XM Satellite Radio. For those active, on-the-go consumers, Expedition has 15 beverage holders and four 12 volt power ports for on-the-go charging needs. The Limited has a remote start system as well as push-button start capabilities. Other driver convenience features are a memory function for the driver’s seat settings and power-adjustable foot pedals. A Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) with Cross-Traffic Alert and Trailer Tow Monitoring helps drivers to safely negotiate lane changes even while towing something.

2019 Ford Expedition The Platinum
The panoramic Vista Roof feature makes the roomy cabin of the Expedition Platinum seem even bigger. The panoramic roof features two panels: one over the front seats and one over the second row of seats. Opening the front panel provides an open air driving experience. The Platinum has power-deployable running boards to assist passengers with entering or exiting the vehicle. Another standard feature on the 2019 Expedition Platinum is LED fog lamps that help drivers to see in conditions such as fog, heavy rain or snow by reducing the amount of reflective light. For easier loading or unloading there is an available hands-free foot-activated power liftgate. To help provide comfort and possibly reduce fatigue on long road trips the Platinum offers leather-trimmed, heated and ventilated multicontour front bucket seats with Active Motion technology. PowerFold third-row seats with power recline help drivers to easily configure the space in the Expedition in order to fit passengers or cargo. Both first and second-row seats are heated for added passenger comfort. For added ease in accessing the third row, the Platinum offers power folding tip and slide seats in the second row.
